Each location uses one named airport station. A station reading is not a citywide average, a measurement at your home or a guarantee that it is the nearest instrument. The tool shows the station, its time zone and its distance from an identified Census reference point.

The record stays visible.

YesterSky uses observations published by NOAA’s Aviation Weather Center. No forecast or modeled values are used. Recent reports remain provisional: they can arrive late, be corrected or be absent.

Lowest and highest sampled temperatures are not official daily extremes. Decoded gusts exclude peak-wind remarks. Available precipitation periods can overlap or cross local midnight, so the pilot does not offer a local-day precipitation total.
